ESPA 2016 Town Meeting

28 Jan 2016
Date/Time: 10:00, 16:30, 28 January, 2016
Venue: Woburn House Conference Centre, London, WC1H 9HQ
This town meeting provided an opportunity for the ESPA community to hear about ESPA’s call for research synthesis projects.

The call will fund a set of projects that build upon the scientific advances and evidence generated by ESPA grants. They will use ESPA research, knowledge and frameworks as a starting point but researchers should also extend their analysis more widely to consider all other relevant research evidence "looked at through the lens" of ESPA's approach to consider the links between a range of ecosystem services and multiple dimensions of poverty.

The town meeting provided an opportunity for the ESPA community to hear about the call, to engage and feed into refining its focus, and to develop contacts and ideas for possible projects. Attendance at the meeting was not a pre-requisite to submitting a proposal to the call.

To assist with this process, those wishing to attend should email a two page copy of their current CV to the ESPA secretariat at espa@nerc.ac.uk.

For applicants from overseas countries wishing to attend the meeting, ESPA contributed funds for approximately 20 people. Funds available for this were a maximum of £500 per person to claim back any travel and subsistence costs incurred attending the meeting. Attendees from the UK were expected to cover their own costs for attendance.

Registrants were informed by the 16th December if they had been invited to attend the meeting.
