Training materials on ecosystem services for poverty alleviation
ESPA has produced an online package of learning materials for teachers, trainers and students. Here we offer annotated PowerPoint slides, short exercises and case studies to respond to the broad scope of capacity needs ranging from: basic knowledge on the theoretical underpinnings of ecosystem services for poverty alleviation, to policy frameworks and sharing practical experiences. The package is intended for the third and final year undergraduate students and postgraduate students, as well as interested people outside academia who are involved in capacity development and research. The material has been developed by the ESPA Directorate but we would like to acknowledge the input and guidance provided by the Africa Academic Steering Group and source authors. As well as the overview 'Ecosystem services for poverty alleviation' training pack below, we also encourage you to explore and use the related 'Payment for ecosystem services' training pack.
