Now we are in the final year of the programme, this conference is a unique opportunity to bring together the ESPA community - along with selected policy makers, policy specialists and practitioners - to reflect on the results from 8 years of ESPA research and craft the headline findings.

This process of synthesis will provide the intellectual foundation for the ESPA book (due to be published in early 2018) and other academic outputs, as well as for related policy-focused communications.

Please note that delegates must arrange and cover the cost of their own travel and accommodation, unless you have already been informed otherwise.

Agenda
The conference sessions will follow the themes identified for the forthcoming ESPA book, as well as a session focused on overarching ESPA messages. An outline of the agenda is given below.

Conference dinner
We are pleased to announce that a conference dinner is provided by the ESPA Directorate for the evening of Wednesday 29th November, and will include a guest keynote speaker and Scottish music from a local band (dress code: informal).

World Forum on Natural Capital The World Forum on Natural Capital will take place in Edinburgh on 27-28th November – immediately preceding the ESPA Annual Science Conference. The theme is ‘better decisions for a better world’ and the programme will follow four different streams: taking nature into account; impact through innovation; cities of tomorrow, and; prosperous and resilient economies.
