Creating Impact
ESPA research must demonstrate how it will lead to impact, that is, measurable improvements in the lives of the world’s poor. Our own Impact Framework is currently under review and a new version will be disseminated soon. There is also a wealth of useful guidance in the ESRC Impact Toolkit.

Open Access
As compiled by DFID, this page lists a number of programmes that provide open access to academic publications, particularly to researchers in developing countries. The programmes will be of use to both UK and International ESPA researchers, and those in the wider community.

Interdisciplinary Working
ESPA research necessarily cuts across many disciplines, including social, natural and political science. There may be fundamental differences in ways of working, including language, methods, evidence bases and communication of findings. This page contains resources for managing and working in interdisciplinary teams, courtesy of INNOGEN, an ESRC programme.
